OPERA MINI 5 - THE NEXT-GEN MOBILE WEB BROWSER

An all new and improved version of the most popular mobile web browser - opera mini 5 (beta) is now available for download. Right from launch screen to interface to visual effects, everything has been changed in this version (In comparison to older versions). Many new features have been added to make it looks and function-wise similar to its desktop counterpart (Opera 10):

1. Vista style beautiful interface (Black rounded bars, buttons etc)
2. Smooth sliding drop-down menu providing easy navigation.
3. Tabbed browsing - Finally tabs are incorporated to open multiple pages at the same time.
4. Speed dial - 9 customisable speed dial thumbnails at the launch screen just like in opera for desktop.
5. A pop-up blocker
6. Password manager - that remembers passwords for your logins.

I tried it in my Nokia N70, all the features work fine but it seemed a bit slower than older 4.2 version in connecting to web and loading pages (May be because it is a beta version). Try yourself for a great browsing experience on your mobile.

Now a little more about Opera Mini - Right from its launch, ‘Mini’ has been the most popular and widely used mobile web browser and following are the main reason behind this success:
A. It is a Java application so compatibility is not an issue (Almost all mobiles support Java now)
B. It is available for almost all mobile phone models (From low end entry level phones to high end ‘Mini mobile computing devices’ like Nokia N97).
C. It gives far better browsing experience than mobile's built-in (Pathetic) web browser. (In terms of speed, page rendering etc).
D. The famous “Back” function - In which browser does not have to download the page again (Ratherthe page is stored and reloaded from cache).
F. And of course it is free to use.
